About
me
I’m Erik Chamorro, a Spanish oil painter based in Dubai, UAE. My work moves between figurative painting, portraiture and surrealism, bringing together observation, imagination and humour.
Surreal painter in Dubai and the UAE
In my surrealist paintings, I explore philosophical ideas and playful contradictions through figurative subjects. Some works take a humorous approach; others invite a more reflective reading.
My influences include Rafał Olbiński, René Magritte, Vladimir Kush, Eduardo Naranjo and Dalí, alongside Francisco Pradilla y Ortiz, Sorolla, Velázquez and Murillo. I return to their work for inspiration and to learn from their craft.
Portrait painter in Dubai
I also accept portrait commissions and custom oil paintings in Dubai and across the UAE. To discuss a painting, send me your idea, preferred size and any reference photographs.
